We are here to support people with cancer and their whanau in the Marlborough area and are part of the Wellington Division of the Cancer Society.

We cover:

  • Upper Wairau Valley
  • Havelock
  • Picton
  • Marlborough Sounds
  • south to Kekerengu (including Seddon and Ward)

Wellington, including Kāpiti, Wairarapa, Nelson-Tasman and Marlborough Level 2 information


Wellington is now at Alert Level 2. We want you to know we are still here to provide information and support. Under Alert Level 2:  

Margaret Stewart House

  • The Cancer Society’s Margaret Stewart House remains open for people who need to travel for treatment at Wellington Hospital.
  • Strict infection control measures and contact tracing.
  • Masks should be worn in communal areas


Daffodil House and Daffodil Lodge maintaining full accommodation services with restrictions on visitors and use of shared lounges.

The shuttle will recommence on Monday 13th September with a limit of 4 patients.

Wellington driving services

  • Transport to treatment is still available, with precautions in place. 

Supportive care

  • Our supportive care nurses are available to provide support either at our office (open from Thursday 8th September, 9:30am - 4:00pm) or over the phone and via email.  
  • If you have cold or flu symptoms or have visited a location of interest in the last 14 days, do not enter our office and ring 0800 CANCER (226 237) to reschedule your appointment. 

  •  Please wear a face covering when entering our office and maintain social distancing where possible.   

Support groups 

  • Face-to-face support groups and programmes are currently suspended. We will contact you to reschedule or organise an alternate support option.

Counselling in Marlborough

Counselling is available to both people with cancer, their partners, family/whānau or support people. We fund up to four counselling sessions per person.

Exercise class in Marlborough

We are seeking interest from people who have had a cancer diagnosis about being part of an exercise programme to regain or retain fitness during and after treatment.


Referral form

Our services are available to anyone diagnosed with cancer and their whānau/family and supporters. Please use this form if you would like to use our services or refer someone else to our services.
