Relaxation, mindfulness and meditation may help you calm your mind and body, reduce negative thoughts and stress.

Some people find that relaxation or meditation helps them to feel better. 

A social worker or nurse on your treatment team or your local Cancer Society may know whether the hospital runs any relaxation programmes or what community programmes are available.

Cancer Society Relax CD

The Relax CD has been produced to offer a series of relaxation and mindfulness exercises. These are designed to encourage physical relaxation, deep breathing and a sense of peacefulness and calm.

When practised regularly, these exercises can enhance emotional and physical well being.
