The Cancer Society Central Districts is recruiting for a Fundraising Coordinator.

The Cancer Society is recruiting for a part-time Fundraising Coordinator based in Palmerston North. 

 

This is a permanent part-time position of flexible hours (30 hours per week and will be arranged and confirmed with the candidate).  Hours of work are between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.

Suitable for someone who can build relationships with sponsors and grant funders to help secure fundraising results and advance the reputation of the Cancer Society Central Districts Division.  Also, someone who has an interest in donor care and supporting the Cancer Society in managing our database of donors.

Purpose of the role:

  • This is a Division wide role that sits within the Fundraising team, whose functions include: fundraising, events, sponsorships, grants, bequests, overseeing communications when required and documenting processes
  • To support and grow revenue through sponsorship and grants for Centres and the Division
  • Ensure that sponsors, trusts, and grant providers have an outstanding experience and that all relationships are nurtured through continuous engagement, follow up and accountabilities
  • Oversee the donor database for the Division including administrative tasks and telephone support

 

We want to hear from you if you have:-

  • At least two years’ experience in administration
  • Telemarketing or donor call experience an advantage
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 
  • Current full NZ driver’s license
  • Ideally some form of qualification (such as a certificate, diploma, or degree) in any area of adminsitration or customer relations
  • Desirable but not strictly necessary, is an understanding of the principals of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and some Te Reo Māori
