The Cancer Society is recruiting for a part-time Volunteer Coordinator based in Palmerston North.

The work of the Cancer Society largely relies on the work of our volunteers, who contribute thousands of hours to support people and their family/whānau with cancer.
About the role:
This is a permanent part-time position of flexible hours (30 hours per week and will be arranged and confirmed with the candidate).
We're looking for someone who can relate easily to a diverse range of people, have an eye for detail, have accurate administration skills, and are more than comfortable navigating around a computer.
The purpose of the role is:

To recruit, train and oversee the Volunteers of the Centre

To provide a pool of trained and available volunteers for each area of our services

To oversee the interests and wellbeing of the Volunteers associated with the Centre

To keep essential and detailed records on all Volunteers
