You don’t have to be a golf pro - in fact, this is for all golfers and non-golfers! The Longest Day Golf Challenge is for anyone who loves a day on the green, and individuals, teams and corporate teams to get involved!

Partnering with Taupō Golf Club, we have a full day planned with lots of mini-competitions and spot prizes to keep you entertained throughout the day.

The mission

To raise funds and awareness for local cancer support. To challenge people to step outside of their comfort zone. To show your support for our local people living with cancer.

  • Relay group option!

If you only want to play 18holes you will need to create a relay group with teams that will in total complete either 36 or 72 holes. See examples of how relay groups can be structures below.

Don’t know enough golfers to make up a relay group? Put this form up at your golf club to get a relay team together.

How to sign up

There is a two-step sign up process.

Step 1:

If you are playing the full 72/36 as an individual or as a team you must fill in the registration form. If you are playing in a team as part of a relay group just one person in your team needs to fill in the registration form on your behalf.

Step 2:

Create your fundraising profile here.

Every participant/team must do this in order to participate. Then you can spread the word and start raising money for the Cancer Society's work in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty (note: all money raised stays within our local division). Every player needs to fundraise a minimum of $200 for entry into the tournament and have 3 months to do so. Corporates are welcome to pay this amount on behalf of their team members.
