The Cancer Society Central Districts is recruiting for a Fundraising Administrator with a strong focus on Digital and Community Campaigns!

We’re looking for an organised, creative and digitally minded Fundraising Administrator to join our Revenue Generation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves turning ideas into action – designing engaging digital campaigns, supporting community fundraisers, and helping great causes reach more people.

About the Role

As our Fundraising Administrator, you’ll play a key role in delivering both digital fundraising campaigns and supporting community-based events. You’ll be the go-to support person for Event Coordinators who are running physical fundraising events across their local communities, while also delivering our digital fundraising activity.

You’ll work closely with the wider revenue team to ensure our supporters have a smooth, engaging and inspiring experience—whether they’re donating online, attending an event, or hearing from us on social media.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Digital Fundraising & Campaigns

  • Implementing and support digital fundraising campaigns across email, social media and online platforms
  • Create engaging content using tools like Canva
  • Help test, refine and optimise campaigns to improve reach and revenue

Donor & Database Management

  • Oversee and maintain the donor database with accuracy and care
  • Support donor stewardship through timely communication, follow-up and reporting
  • Analyse campaign and donor data to produce clear insghts and reports

Event & Team Support

  • Provide administrative and practical support to the Event team delivering community-based events
  • Assist with event promotion, registrations, follow-ups and reporting
  • Be a reliable point of contact who keeps things moving behind the scenes

Communication & Engagement

  • Use social media and digital tools to engage supporters and community fundraisers
  • Ensure every supporter has an outstanding experience with our organisation

 

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need decades of experience—but you do need enthusiasm, curiosity, and confidence with technology!

You’ll likely bring:

  • Strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience with Canva or similar design tools
  • Comfort working with databases, systems and digital platforms
  • An interest in digital marketing, fundraising, or campaign work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine customer-service mindset

Other Requirements

  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence
