  • Supporting and empowering volunteers involved in fundraising activities.
  • Working with community groups to increase engagement and fundraising outcomes.
  • Contributing to social media, promotional activities, and local media engagement.
  • Managing event budgets, reporting requirements, and health and safety planning.

This is a part-time position (25 hours per week) with flexibility across Monday to Friday, and occasional evening and weekend work. Some travel within the Central Districts Division may be required.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering successful events, fundraising campaigns, or community initiatives.
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the confidence to seek sponsorship and community support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong social media and promotional skills.
  • Outstanding organisation, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A current New Zealand Full Driver Licence.

A qualification in marketing, communications, or a related discipline would be an advantage.

Why Join Us?

At the Cancer Society, you'll join a passionate, purpose-driven organisation committed to reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in New Zealand.
