We are here to support people with cancer and their whānau across Wairarapa. We are part of the Wellington Division of the Cancer Society.

Covid-19 Protection Framework

The Cancer Society Wairarapa is open to the public and groups and programmes are running as normal.

Masks are required for clients/visitors to enter Cancer Society offices. Staff/volunteers are still required to wear masks when entering the building and when in and around our reception areas.

Margaret Stewart House will remain open for those who need to travel to Wellington for treatment. Patients can bring one support person. Unfortunately, we currently do not allow visitors to enter the building or children to stay at Margaret Stewart House.

Our Driving Service is available and clients and drivers must be masked. We currently do not allow clients to bring support people and clients must sit in the back seat. We take clients regardless of their vaccination status.

Who we are

The Wairarapa Centre focus is primarily on growing dedicated support systems; raising awareness in health promotion areas; seeking new initiatives; providing quality information; and networking to improve communication links with other related organisations in the health industry.
