Become a Southern GEM to make a lasting impact

Give Each Month (GEM) to provide crucial support in your community.

Cancer affects one in three New Zealanders, and the Southern Cancer Society Cancer Navigators help more than 3,700 families across the South Island to navigate a cancer diagnosis each year.

The Cancer Society is the sole cancer charity offering cancer navigation services in communities, so the need for our services will only grow, making it vital for us to fund them.

Your monthly gift enables us to extend our reach to more local families across the South Island with cancer support, while also paving the path towards reducing the overall impact of cancer in the future.

I want to become a Southern GEM

Southern GEM fundraisers in your community

The Cancer Society relies heavily on community funding, so we depend entirely on the generosity of supporters like you to provide crucial support to people and families impacted by cancer.

Our fundraisers are experienced fundraisers who will have a photo ID confirming their name and will be wearing one of our blue Southern GEM branded tabards (Bibs).

Our fundraisers are an enthusiastic and dedicated team who are passionate about helping people with cancer. Sometimes their work is challenging and difficult, so please treat them with kindness.

Our fundraisers are currently active in:

Dunedin, Mosgiel, Outram, Middlemarch, Seacliff and Waikouaiti.
